Hermes Desktop has launched at full speed.
After its first public reveal at GTC 2026, the team barely caught their breath before pushing it straight into public beta.
What is this: a desktop-side AI Agent manager. You can run, monitor, and manage multiple AI Agents here, just like how a task manager handles processes.
Current versions: - Windows adaptation: half-baked (but usable) - macOS adaptation: relatively complete - Linux: still on the way
Why "half-baked"? Because packaging, installation, and permission management on Windows turned out to be far more complex than expected. But the core features are already up and running.
The biggest highlight is that it makes AI Agents "visible" โ you no longer have to stare at terminal logs and guess what it's doing. Instead, a graphical interface lets you see the Agent's status, thought process, and intermediate results.
